Rake SE04 EP01

We were each given a quarter episode of rake to cut. The script was funny, the rushes had all been organised, we learnt how to read a marked up script and refer to continuity sheets. It was all really really useful information.

Once i opened avid I decided that I would cut separate scenes on separate timelines, this helped me feel less overwhelmed by the material and the process in a new program.

I quickly discovered that this was a super manual way of cutting part of an episode, each little scene was complete with its own arc. I thought this may inhibit any larger story arcs and shapes I may be hoping to create. And so brought everything on to the same time line and started a rough cut from that assembly.
